Overview: The kosode is red and cream with patterns of peacocks and small heart shapes. The top half of the inside is lined in cream silk and the bottom half unlined.

Construction: This kosode is painted with a pattern of cream-colored peacocks that have blue hearts in a variety of shades, speckled in their feathers. The background is red with metallic gold hearts. The fabric started with cream silk double ply crepe. The top portion of the inside is lined with cream silk broadcloth; the bottom is unlined. The facing around the 8 1/2" opening is pale yellow silk brocade. The sleeves measure 23 1/2" and have a curved outer edge. Center back measures 46" long.
