Unknown 1935 -1950 Greens womans [Silk Brocade]
Overview: This western-style gown is made from Japanese fabric.
Construction: Beautifully made using couture methods, mainly by machine. The collar and cuffs are quilted with especially even stitches. The sleeves have pleats a the top, typical of late-1930s early 1940s styles in Western Europe and the U.S. Self covered buttons. This garment could be a lounging robe or a gown for a casual but elegant evening. It appears to be 3/4 length.
Trim: Self covered buttons; quilted collar and cuffs. The fabric is especially beautiful.
Damage: Lightly worn.
