[Silk Brocade]
Overview: This is a late 20th century version of a traditional sam fu for a woman. The two-piece garment is mainly machine made with hand-stitched finishing.
Construction: The two-piece garment is mainly machine made with hand-stitched finishing. It is a ready-to wear rather garment rather than custom made. There is a gusset in the sleeves to aid movement and a metal zipper on the left side of the trousers. Both pieces are fully lined, the top portion with red silk and the trousers with white. The detail image of the zipper shows the label that indicates the garment is made from "Pure Silk" and is size 10.
Trim: The brocade fabric have an intricate pattern and four "frog" closures at center front. The lining is red China silk.
