[Silk brocade; lining is cotton]
Overview: Hand-sewn brocade kosode.
Construction: Hand sewn. The cloth was woven and assembled without much care to matching the pattern. This is especially evident at center back. The lining is unbleached cotton.
Trim: The garment is unadorned but is made from beautiful brocade with a complex pattern of kamon designs within circles.
Provenance: Found in costume storage in the Department of Dramatic Art
Damage: Lightly worn so the garment is in good shape.
