Overview: The bisht is made from black cotton ornamented with gold braid trim. It is open in the front and ties with two gold tassels. In addition to the flat braid down the front opening, gold colored braid is stitched along the top of the arms and around the wrist opening.
Construction: The garment is cut in three pieces: one for the back and two side fronts. See supplemental pages for detailed information.
Provenance: There is a label inside the back neckline, written in Arabic.
Damage: The bisht is in excellent condition and was only lightly worn, if at all.
