1900 -1910 Black (faded to green) mens outerwear jacket [French Broadcloth]
Overview: The frock coat is made from French broadcloth by the Garland Tailoring Company in Jackson, Michigan.

Provenance: According to labels on the interior, it was obtained by C. E. Rush on March 5, 1910. Charles E. Rush, who is the likely owner, was director of the UNC Library in the 1930s.
Damage: The fabric from which it was made was under-dyed with green before being dyed with black, which is now faded.
